“Through the Vacuum of Space”, an interactive narrative game about “You” the player waking up in a room within a bombshelter. You are informed that the world is ending in 10 minutes, you won a spacecraft with 5 additional seats, and that you are free to bring whoever you want with you. Depending who is recruited will determine the ending of the game.

We aimed to create a story that captured emotional decision making that almost anyone could relate to if put in a similar situation. We wanted to give the player’s outcome to be based on their decisions, good or bad. If the player successfully leaves earth, we wanted to create a karma system with the ending that acknowledged the player’s sacrifices made to be successful.
